Part 1 - Politics & Social Issues: Global Warming - Two minutes on 'news of the day;' Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) anti-global warming ad: "They call it pollution, we call it life;" Fox News' Special Report - Global Warming: The Debate Continues; Host David Asman claims "there is no scientific consensus about what causes global warming;" Fox not only provides 'equal time' for the 1% of scientists who are global warming deniers, they devote the majority of the time to the dissenters and amateurs (pundits) who side with the dissenters; Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) says global warming is "a total hoax" and "an outrageous lie;" 20%ers like Inhofe are conspiracy theorists; he not only sides with the 1%, he impugns the motives of both the media and the scientific community as a whole; the nature of science is that reality demands integrity of theory, data, and interpretations

Part 2 - Politics & Social Issues: Sen. Inhofe revives the old canard about 'global cooling' from the 1970s; Fox clouds the issue with outrage about claims of 'catastrophe;' Inhofe claims he simply wants to ensure both sides are examined; Scientists care about publishing, tenure, discovery, fame, and fortune; only ; Pseudo-scientist Bjorn Lomborg says he used to think "everything was coming to an end," says there are more pressing problems; Scientists have already dealt with and dismissed Lomborg's weak arguments; In science, strong arguments supported by evidence win supporters, weak arguments with errors do not

Part 3 - Politics & Social Issues: Pseudo-scientists present more misinformation on Fox; Conservative Fox News pundit Fred Barnes says there is a hysterical position (sea levels rising 20 feet) and a reasonable position - which is true, but the scientific community is not making such hysterical claims; Barnes claims (falsely) that there are signs of global cooling too, claims 'people like Al Gore exaggerate wildly' (in the new movie An Inconvenient Truth); Bill Hemmer (Fox News) interviews former governor Pete duPont following duPont's WSJ editorial, compliments duPont on his anti-global warming stand, which cites discredited work; More on the nature of science and inquiry, and scientists attempt to convey their findings to the general public; The second CEI anti-global warming ad argues that some studies 'supposedly' found global warming, others found the opposite - a gross misrepresentation of the facts and the consensus within the scientific community

Part 4 - Politics & Social Issues: The culpability of the Bush administration in rejecting good science; Fox challenged the consensus view of 99% of the scientific community, they did not challenge some of the wild claims by the dissenters; Fox claimed Bush is a 'green' president; Bush's representative on the Fox special said we have two ways to deal with global warming - throw people out of work, or build the economy; Fox host Asman repeatedly referred to the people aligned with the consensus view (99% of the scientific community) as "alarmists;" The he had the nerve to end by saying that: Fox News didn't advocate any position, and they would continue to examine the issue "fairly and openly" - they report (the hoax), you decide (if they're malicious, or just ignorant)
