Part 1 - Politics & Social Issues: This day in history; News of the day; Right Wing Talk Show Hosts (RWTSH) - Commentary on Bill Oh Really's faulty analysis in which he argues that: 1) the press is essentially dishonest, 2) 3/4 of the baby boomers in the press are 'hardcore left,' 3) there's a very powerful far-left cabal, funded primarily by George Soros, that includes 'smear sites' on the left (he usually means mediamatters.org, which smears him by quoting him extensively), 4) this far left cabal has been joined by NBC (I think he's referring primarily to MSNBC and O'Reilly's easing nemesis, Keith Olbermann), 5) no newsperson at Fox News tows any kind of ideological line (I assume he's speaking only of the attractive young female newsreaders), 6) the left has a smear mechanism set up, including Howard Dean and the Democrats, who feed garbage to the media and they accept without checking it out.

Part 2 - Politics & Social Issues: Commentary on RWTSH Bill O'Reilly's faulty analysis, in which he argues that: 7) there is no right-wing cabal in the US, though there is successful right wing radio, 8) some say Fox News is right wing, but it is not, 9) and the proof is that liberals and conservatives get equal time on Fox

Part 3 - Politics & Social Issues: This day in history; Commentary on RWTSH Bill O'Reilly's faulty analysis, in which he argues that: 10) the propagandists on the right are not smear merchants, they're just 'holding water' for the oil companies, but they're not smear merchants like the left. When a radio show caller questions O'Reilly on giving a pass to the 'smearing' of Limbaugh, Hannity, and Ingraham, Bill says he hears them talk issues, not attack the other side. This is the classic profile of 20%ers: people who thinks that the other side is nuts, but their side is both right and reasonable.

Part 4 - Politics & Social Issues: Commentary on Stephen Cobert's satire about Fox News RWTSH John Gibson's claim that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's letter covered "Democratic talking points" (e.g., there were no WMD in Iraq); Just tonight on The Big Story Gibson found fault with Cobert for poking fun at Gibson's recent argument that since more than 50% of the children under five in this country are minorities, and since the country will be more than 50% Hispanic in 25 years, Americans should "make more babies;"Many Americans have a vague fear or concern about minorities; Race is a component of the current illegal immigration debate, but most don't want to acknowledge this; The long history of immigration in this country saw the same concerns about race and foreign languages.
